New Developments in the Village

With over 70 buildings, and thousands of exhibits within the Village there are always new developments.  Our any volunteers work continually on maintaining buildings, creating additions, and we often accept donations of more items, or in some cases, we are able to purchase things of special interest.

Back in June there was much excitement as a train carriage arrived at the Village.  It now sits beside the train track towards the rear of the building, with familiar orange plastic fencing surrounding it as work continues to make it accessible to visitors.  There is a new platform to be erected, enabling visitors to get into the train carriage.  It will be set up as a function venue for small events, and will have facilities for coffee/tea making and more.

There will be an official opening – perhaps within 6 months.

As well our volunteers are working on renovating the Dairy Museum, which is currently closed while work is carried out.
