See us at FarmFest Expo!
Farm Fest is on at the Caboolture Showgrounds and the Caboolture Historical Village has a display with a Model T Ford and other vehicles in the middle of the oval. As well, our volunteers are making great damper, which sells for $1 – hot off the ovens! Also “Illy tea” which will be explained below.
As well, there is a chance to win a Family Pass to the Village or Two Tickets for the next Jazz Event!!! So pop along to see the folk and have a chat about the events coming up at the Village.
Some of the volunteers had some fun on the first day of FarmFest as the “B” fell off the sign for “Billy Tea” – so they quickly conjured up a story which caused a few laughs. “We have honey for the damper, but no bees are here.” Perhaps a crazy sense of humour helps – as we know it does at the Village!!
It caused quite a laugh really! Late in the afternoon, a gentlemen came to the stall and asked what “illy tea” was. He had stood puzzled for some time, and wasn’t sure if he wanted to partake of the unknown brew. When it was explained about the lack of “b’s” he was further confused and it took him some time to see the humour in it and indeed ordered and drank a lovely fresh cup of ordinary black tea.
Do go and visit the stall.
