Volunteering at the Village
Volunteers have developed the Village over 40 years into a major tourist attraction in the region; and proudly we are still operated entirely by volunteers.
It has been through the collective efforts of many volunteers that we now have the Historical Village as we know it.
The Caboolture Historical Village is a wonderful place to volunteer, meet people, learn new skills, and keep active.
We have volunteers who work as reception staff on the front counter of the visitor information centre, others who work in the cafe and on various other catering tasks, administration, marketing, staff management, retail.
As well, we have people who work as, train drivers, on building maintenance, grounds maintenance, machinery maintenance, vehicle restoration, collection management, tour guides and volunteers who conduct activities and demonstrations for our school visitors.
We are looking for volunteers to help in many areas including the cafe’s, demonstrating, participating in re-enactments, in the Visitor Information Centre, in the office doing the booking and documentation for functions, weddings and school visit, and tour guides. There are many places where your skills can be used!
Our volunteers tend to remain with us for many years and enjoy being a part of this evolving and exciting place. We have huge plans for the future and some exciting developments happening; so now is the time to come join us. We welcome everyone, no matter how much or little time you can give to us, and no matter what your skills and experience are.
